Activity: 04.03 - Provide Access

In this activity, authorized users will be granted rights to access the service, post verification of their access requests.

The Access Management process is responsible for enforcing decisions for restricting or providing access, rather than making the decision. As soon as the requester as well as the request are verified, the Service Request Handler, based on the approvals (either pre-approved or sought), would provide the requester with the rights to use the requested service. The Service Request Handler should seek any additional approval if necessary. Formal records of all users connected to a Client’s systems must be maintained, including the necessary approvals, either electronically or on paper.
